I do not have fans yet. Is SoundNexus still worth it?
Yes. SoundNexus shows new tracks in the Nexus and on the home page without minimum streams or an ad budget. You do not need an existing audience to be discovered. Many artists start here from zero.
Can I sell from another European country?
Generally yes, provided Stripe Connect is available in your country and you provide the required information. SoundNexus takes the buyer's location into account for VAT; your own tax and business obligations depend on your country.
Is BASIC really free, even if I sell nothing?
Yes, permanently. There are no subscription or monthly fees. SoundNexus only earns when you sell (15% commission). No sales means no costs.
Can I use SoundNexus alongside Spotify, Bandcamp and other platforms?
Yes. There is no exclusive contract and no lock-in. You can release the same music on several platforms at the same time.
When does an upgrade make sense?
Do the math: BASIC charges a 15% commission, while PRO charges only 7%. After a few sales per month, PRO can save you more than it costs. See all details in the plan overview. LABEL charges 0% commission and is funded exclusively by its subscription, not your sales.
Can I cancel the subscription at any time?
Yes. No fine print and no trick. You can cancel at any time. Afterwards you return to the free BASIC plan and your music stays online.
Do I keep the rights to my music?
100%. SoundNexus is a platform, not a record label. There is no exclusive contract and no lock-in. You must own or have permission to use the rights in your music; obligations to collecting societies depend on your country.
How and when do I receive my money?
After the platform commission and Stripe processing fee are deducted, the remaining proceeds are credited directly to your connected Stripe account. Stripe transfers funds from there to your bank according to your account's payout schedule.
